Cross Dowels, also known as Barrel Nuts, are a metal dowel with one or two threaded holes. They are used in conjunction with a threaded bolt to tightly secure two pieces of material together. They are avaialble in different sizes and with different diameters of threaded hole.
Cross dowels are found in many different types of furniture. They are often found in flat-pack furniture in particular.
