Types of cupboard door hinges

Full Overlay Concealed Cupboard Door Hinges

The full overlay cupboard door hinge is fitted to doors that lay directly onto the door frame.  Used by most kitchen manufacturers the full overlay hinge can be identified as having a straight arm.  The hinge is fully adjustable with the screws provided which can be used to adjust the angles ensuring the cupboard door fits correctly onto the door frame.

When replacing a cupboard door hinge, you will also need to consider additional factors, including the cup hole diameter of either 26mm, 35mm or 40mm on larger cupboard doors.  The thickness of the cupboard door should also be taken into consideration.  We offer hinges for cupboard door thickness from 11-24mm as standard.  Cupboard door hinges can also be supplied for doors 43mm thickness.  The opening angle of the cupboard door hinge also varies from 95° to 270°.  Unico Components also offer a range of full overlay hinges for both soft close, to ensure the door closes smoothly without slamming, and push to open, for handle free doors.

Half Overlay Concealed Cupboard Door Hinges

The half overlay hinge if similar to the full overlay hinge, but the hinge overlays up to half the width of the carcass.  This allows for doors to be mounted either side of a carcass panel.  The half overlay hinge has a bend/crank in the arm allowing for half of the carcass to be covered by the cupboard door.
