How do I choose the right hinge?
The correct door overlay is achieved by selecting the hinge with the correct cranking:
- Overlay hinges are fitted to doors where the door lays onto the frame of the carcass.
- Full Overlay hinges overlay the width of the carcass side.
- Half Overlay hinges overlay up to half the width of the carcass side.
- Inset hinges allow the door to close within the frame of the carcass.
What is a slide on/screw on hinge?
Slide On / Screw On hinges require a screw to secure the hinge arm to the hinge plate.
What is a clip on hinge?
Clip On hinges click into place when locating the hinge arm onto the hinge plate.
What is the cup?
The cup is the part of the hinge that is recessed into the door. For example a 26mm or 35mm cup relates to the diameter of the hole required to fit the hinge into the door.
